Model: EAP610
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.3 Build 20210806 Rel. 64734

Hello,

i recently bought an EAP610 and have problems to let wifi-devices talk to each other. The AP is connected with a lan-cable with poe-injector to an unmanaged switch. There is a fritzbox router (no wlan) with a DHCP-Server running. Wifi-Devices get their IP from the router and can use the internet. My desktop-pc is connected with a lan-cable to the unmanaged switch and can ping all devices in the network, even the devices connected through the EAP610. If i connect my laptop to the EAP610 WIFI, i can reach everything thats connected to the switch, internet, google, etc. but other devices on the EAP610 are not reachable.

My Wifi settings are:

- 2.4GHz (5GHz is disabled, until problems are solved)

- 20MHz Channel Width

- Channel 5

- Tx Power High

- WPA2-PSK/AES

- Disabled: Rate-Limits, Schedule, VLAN, Mac-Filter, Airtime-Fairness, Band steering, fast roaming, no Guest network, no ACLs defined

Any idea what i need to configure to make devices connected to my wifi talk to other wifi devices?

  @MaikK

Hello and welcome.

I need to confirm some details:

1. what about other devices? Are they able to access the Internet while they have no problem with the connection? Simply, they are not accessible when you ping in the LAN.

2. Are you saying that when you turn off the 5GHz, the issue disappeared?

3. Have you tried to reset the EAP and connect to the default WiFi to perform the ping test? Just make sure there is no config on EAP that stops your device from talking to other devices.

4. When do you notice this issue? When was the first time this happened? I mean does that happen after the firmware update? Or did you modify anything on your router or laptop?

It would be helpful to know whether your end clients are newly connected to the WIFI or not.
