i hope TPLINK will listen to us. The camera is useless really when linked to VIGI NVR. Tplink please add the feature of static IP ON TAPO cameras and please update the VIGI NVR firmware/software.. its buggy. Like, when a tapo is disconnected because of reboot, it blocks the RECENT iP address used on that disconnected cam. Like i have to delete the block device on the NVRs blocked device list. I really do not understand what its function is.  And when TAPO cameras are used, a lot of functions in the NVR are diaabled like change ip, etc... 

i hope they fix this.

Hi yes they have the ONViF protocol and TPS if I remember correctly, just used once on 2 cameras.

They are all connected to "generic" hikvision 32 camera ip NVR. I have 3 different static networks managed by Cisco ASA one for computers, one for cameras, one for wi-fi separated into 2, part for guest part for staff. Believe I want static IP on tapo...

  @langamer101 I absolutely agree with you. This is a feature that should have been added a long time ago. I am thinking to send back the 2 cameras I purchased. I still have 3 weeks to decide. 

  @langamer101  when tapo cameras are connected to vigi nvrs, ip assignment is disabled. Such a hassle.
