Multiple gateways?
Hello,
I'm deploying an EAP-225 mesh network, currently it has one gateway to the internet, however I am wondering if I can add another gateway (connected to an EAP225) that is on a totally different internet connection to provide resiliency and potentially another route out to the internet.
Is this possible?
Best Regards
Chris

You don't need multiple controllers. One controller can manage devices across the internet. See this FAQ:

Hey
Im assuming by Gateway you are referring to an ISP router or something similar? If so then you can install a load balancing router (something like the TL-R605) and it will handle up to 4 internet connections as you feel necessary.
The setup can be in load balance mode (both working as one) or as primary and fallback. The APs would only see the TL-R605 router and be unaware of what it is doing in terms of the internet connection.
Hopefully that answers your question?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply :)
In an ideal world that would be perfect :) Unfortunately I am installing to a campsite that has multiple ISP connections spread across the site.
I guess I could employ multiple controllers on different subnets, the sole purpose of the system is to provide internet access to guests of the campsite, staff access to share resource isn't required.
I was hoping that I would have been able to connect the AP's to various backbones to the ISP and then the mesh would work out the best route to get to the outside world.
If I were to use multiple controllers and differing subnets, I presume I would need a separate site in the portal for each controller?
