TL-R605 statistics are junk?
TL-R605 statistics are junk?
After a total farce trying to adopt the 605 onto a software Omada controller (192.168.0.x vs 192.168.1.x issue), I finally got it up and working.
I was disappointed with the manageability via the SDN Omada controller, and like some others wanted to be able to see real-time bandwidth.
so I opted to reset and go in standalone mode. Here the router is working fine, but the interface stats are total garbage (ie wrong) and I believe similar is true for the ip stats.
1) anyone else seen that?
2) any clue when we will get any updated firmware? Tplink support via email are zero help
thanks

Hey
Yes a number of us has expressed our review on the lack of features for live traffic, erroneous data etc from the R605 when on Omada SDN. It does work better (but not perfectly) in standalone
Like you we are waiting on a new firmware to address a few things (or an SDN update), either way its a waiting game
Thankfully the live traffic isnt a particular issue for me personally, I know others have mentioned it however.

Thanks, appreciate the reply.
I contacted TP-Link support, who wouldn't speculate on when there might be a firmware release. Does anyone know?

Yeah i couldnt see it on the website either when I went looking for the release notes. It literally just appeared as available on the controller around an hour ago so may just be released.
Likely see it available for download asap

v1.0.1 firmware installed. can't see any differences. Statistics are still total jibberish. I'm downloading at >3MB/s, and the webgui (standalone) is showing 1KB/s and 2 Pkts/s. Like I say, TOTAL rubbish.
Does anyone in TP-Link test this crap?
