Hi,

 

I have just bought a Tapo C100 camera and everything went fine with Tapo app on smartphones. I can view the video and change the settings easily. 

For the Alexa device I have at home, I did manage to add the Tapo camera through Alexa skill. However, when I asked Alexa device to show the video, i.e. "Alexa, show me <camera name>", the device asked to wait for about 30s and then showed nothing.

 

Could you please provide more technical hints for this situation.

Good day,

Are you still able to control on the Tapo camera over 3/4G network?

And did Alexa work with Tapo camera before?

Moreover, did Alexa work fine other devices with no delay?

Thanks for your reply. Following are my answers of your questions:

1. Yes, Tapo can be controlled over 4G

2. No, this was the first time I tried to connect Alexa with Tapo devices

3. Yes, my Alexa had worked with other cameras and devices.

We would like to follow up on your case by email and please have a check of your email box later.

At the same time, could you please help me check the following information:

1. Are you able to live-view the camera on the Alexa APP directly?

2. Would rebooting the camera and Alexa make any difference?

Hi @TP-Link ,

As already responded via email, the followings are my answers to your questions:

1. Alexa app does not allow view any cameras, I have double-checked again!

2. Rebooting all devices does not help.
