Firmware Version: 2.5.0 Build 20190404 Rel. 57144

Hi,

Question is about speed of connection when moving to an area where signal strength is poor and then coming back to be directly under the AP.

Observed situation:

1. Client under AP, has maximum available speed (about 285Mbps up and down)

2. Client moves away to area of less good coverage, available speeds aprox 30-50Mbps up and down

3. Client comes back to be directly under the AP, speed only recoveres partially to about 80-100Mbps up and down (sometimes less).

4. Speed does not recover to maximum available speed, untill either Client disconnects/reconnects from/to the network, or using the "reconnect" action in Omada controller for the given client. After which speed is restored.

Is this behaviour expected? Are there possible ways to automatically restore connection speed to it maximum potential, as soon as Client is in good signal coverage?

Many thanks.

Hi @trafaret,

2.5.0 is a pretty old version of firmware for EAP225V3.  What county are you in?  Is that the latest version?
