Been through 4 CPE510s in a month
I can't figure out what's going on. I've bought 4 different CPE510s in a months time. They work great for like a week then just completely die on me. I can't even connect my PC to the admin UI anymore. All lights are greeen. Tried resetting the device many times, using different cables, etc. They just completely stop responding on http://192.168.0.254. I can see the SSID of the wireless network and I can connect, but I have no internet access even though I have flashing green lights on my router, all greens on the CPE510, green light on the POE adapter. I getting tired of dropping $50 every week to replace these things. I know the router is good because I can unplug the cable from the LAN port on the POE adapter and connect it to my computer and I get full strength signal. Nothing through the CPE510 though. I'm running it as a WAP connected directly to my router using outdoor direct bury rated cat5e cable. Anyone have any ideas?

if you still can connect wirelessly, try to log into the web UI and check the LAN statistics on the Status page to find out what happens.
It would also be helpful to know the topology, e.g. what kind of directional link (PtP, PtMP) you are using, how many wand what clients connect if PtMP and over what distance.
The LEDs of a CPE in AP mode are always on to indicate normal operation:
- the four LEDs for the Tx signal quality are always on in AP mode (they indicate quality in Client and AP Client Router modes only),
- the LAN LED(s) indicating a functional Ethernet connection, should flicker when data is being transmitted,
- and the power LED.

Dear robdavis967,
1. Did you change the LAN IP address of the 4 CPE510s when you set them up at the first time?
As you may know, the default IP address of all Pharos products is 192.168.0.254, we recommended to change the LAN IP address to avoid IP conflict when there are multiple CPE products connected in the same network.
2. When the CPE products are reset successfully to factory default settings, the signal LEDs won't light up at all.
If you still see the signal LEDs light up on the CPE510 after a hard reset, please verify that you have reset the device in a correct way.
How to reset: with the CPE device powered on, use a pin to press and hold the reset hole for about 8 seconds (we would see all the LEDs flash once).
If it doesn't work, please also unplug the cable from the LAN port on the PoE adapter, and restart the PoE adapter before you push the reset hole on the CPE unit.
3. If you can reset the CPE device successfully but cannot access the web UI, please follow the guide below to check some points and see if it helps.

Sorry about that. Didn't see the subforum. I tried connecting through wifi and I get the same result. It just times out trying to connect to the admin url. I tried resetting the device both ways (unplugging the POE and using the reset button. After reset, the power light comes on solid, then after a few seconds the LAN light will blink, then all lights come on solid and stay that way except for the LAN light blinking a little. I just used the quick setup for a WAP when initially configuring the device. The only thing I changed was the SSID name and setup a password. I didn't change the default IP. However I don't have any other CPE devices running. I'll double check to make sure there isn't anything else with that IP, but I'm pretty sure there isn't. I can't even ping the gateway IP when connected to the CPE wifi.
My network is really simple, I have a DSL modem/wifi router and the CPE is connected directly to that. There is the 5g wifi network being broadcast by the router locally in the house and then the wifi being broadcast from the CPE510 on the porch directed toward the other side of my property (about 80 acres). It was working fine for about a week. I was able to connect to the wifi of the CPE all the way on the other side of my property and getting a strong signal. I did notice it would drop and pick back up every once in a while, but pretty good overall. Then the day before yesterday it just stopped having an internet connection. I experienced similar behavior with the last 3 CPE510s I bought. I thought maybe it was lighting because we had some storms around, but the weather was good for the last several days and now this one is doing the same. I just don't see any reason why it would stop working.

@robdavis967, try the following:
- Disconnect your PC and the CPE from your router/switch/network.
- Connect the CPE (via PoE adapter) to the PC.
- Set static IP 192.168.0.10 on the PC, netmask 255.255.255.0. Leave DNS/gateway fields blank.
- Ping 192.168.0.254. If you don't get an answer, hard reset the CPE and try again. Do you now get an answer?
- Start a web browser and connect to 192.168.0.254. Log in to the CPE, set new password.
- First of all, change the CPE's static IP to some unused IP from your network, e.g. 192.168.1.32 or whatever IP is still free.
- Now connection between PC and CPE breaks. Do not disconnect the CPE from power!
- Set the PC's IP to 192.168..1.10, unplug the Ethernet cable, re-plug it to the PC.
- Now direct the browser to 192.168.1.32 and log into the web UI again and ensure you save the settings made in step 6.
Otherwise on next reboot of the CPE its factory default IP will re-appear.
You now have prepared the CPE for use in your network and you can re-connect the PC and the CPE to your switch/network.
Write down the CPE's IP in case you forget it. Proceed with further configration of the CPE, now from within your network.
Remember to set the PC back to DHCP or whatever it was before when connecting it to the network again.

No. For a hard reset or factory reset you press the RESET button for ~8 seconds until you see a change in the LEDs. The CPE will reboot with factory default settings and after few minutes the web UI will be available (be patient). See the FAQ in the CPE's Installation Guide:

Congratulations, the CPE is in factory settings mode (this is the normal LED state until you change the admin password, the AP is turned off). Now we can see at least that the CPE works fine.
Please send a screenshot of the output from command ipconfig in the command (DOS) window of your PC.

Hello @robdavis967
you may try the steps below:
1. Physical connection: CPE510 -------(PoE port) provided PoE adapter (LAN port) -------- PC
2. Ensure the Power LED is solid on, LAN LED is flashing a bit on the CPE510, if not, restart the CPE510 and do a hard reset again.
3. On the PC, disconnect other connections especially the wireless connection, just make sure the Ethernet connection is the only connection on the PC.
4. Turn off the PC's firewall in case it blocks the ping requests. Ping 192.168.0.254 to have a try.
If necessary, try with a different PC, hard reset the CPE510 and try again.
