I want to ask if this kind up setup works.

 

 

My condition :

1.I have 200 Mbps internet connection.

2.Since this R470T switch port is not gigabit, I am thinking how to use this 200 Mbps.

3.I have modem from ISP which support gigabit ethernet (huawei hg8245h)

4.I use R470T as layer 2 to manage all dhcp and bandwidth control

5.I set port 1 and 2 as WAN, and I connect both port to the same modem

6.I set port 3,4, and 5 as LAN, and distribute it to multiple AP.

7.I ran a small accomodation and there are many guests device using Wifi

8.I limit bandwidth to 5 Mbps per device except mine

9 Load balancing ON

 

My question is with this kind of setup, can all the 200Mbps bandwidth be utilized?

After you connected two WAN ports to your modem, if both WAN ports can get IP address, I think 200Mbps bandwidth can be utilized.

Just worry about that two WAN ports cannot use the IP address of the same network segment.

@Andone i set both wan port as dynamic ip. And both get same IP address segment from the modem.(192.168.100.xx and 192.168.100.xy). For the rest of the network, I use 192.168.0.xx. From the managed switch config page, I can see that both wan port is connected and online. My internet can work fine. 

I just dont know if 200Mbps bandwidth is all utilized or not. Is there somehow I can verify this?

There is a complicated method.

Use two PC connect to your network. Set up policy routing on R470T+. Make two PC's traffic go through different WAN ports. 

Then run speedtest.net on both PC at the same time. If both PC can get 100Mbps, then it means that you have gotten 200Mbps.
