C200 and PTZ
Asking again.
Is there a way to use PTZ on Tapo C200 apart from the Tapo App?
Stated to be ONVIF Compliant, but it's NOT.

I found an app that does the job.... TinyCam. So, if it do it ipwebcam pro also...but how? I cant get my c200 working on port 2020, only 554. Maybe if we change the port to 2020 we get PTZ back on non Tp-Link apps.

Hello @franc0
Tapo C200 V1 /V2 now support ONVIF PTZ, may i know which third party software you are currently using , can I have a photo of the settings, and ONVIF URL you 've tried? Thank you.
- ONVIF Service Port: 2020
- ONVIF URL: http://camera IP Address:2020/onvif/device_service

Hi, I use a raspbery pi computer running node red (nodered.org) to control the camera and vlc to view the image. Node red requires Bartbutenaers onvif nodes at https://github.com/bartbutenaers/node-red-contrib-onvif-nodes. The Readme there contains more information and examples, but only the ptz controls are functional for the Tapo camera. Hope this helps you. PdeJ

Im using IPWebcam Pro for Android and c200 is configured as ONVIF camera. I can see the video streaming, use PTZ but cant use talk to camera (important) as the red letters say in IPWebcam.
But...TinyCam for android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alexvas.dvr&hl=en&gl=US) works everything (including talk to camera) and its not a TPLink app!!! And its not necessary configure almost nothing, just scan network, TinyCam will find the camera, we put the user and password and voilá. All PTZ functions working... How this is possible?

I had some trouble to make PTZ works also, i must say that it works with ONVIF if you configure the camera stream through ONVIF also,
So instead of conecting to the camera with: rtsp://(user):(password)@(IPADRESS):554/stream1
You should connect as: http://(IPADRESS):2020/onvif/device_service
And then on the PTZ tab you select the ONVIF option, configuring only the 2020 port, and it should work.
It worked for me this way, good luck.

Would be very nice to have the event notification.
Someone has already asked this to TP-Link?
Thank you

For those who will search as I did here are proper settings for PTZ to work with TP-Link Tapo C210 (hw: 1.0; fw: 1.3.0) in BlueIris.
First of all, set proper ONVIF video settings, NOT RTSP or PTZ will not work. You can set IP:PORT and discovery port as 2020 and press Find/Inspect button, it should fill all the fields automatically.
Second, there is no need to change anything in PTZ settings, except selecting ONVIF profile.

How could you connect directly to IP:2020/onvif/device_service ?
DanceM, thanks for the screenshots but that still doesn't seem to fix my PTZ issue with BlueIris 5.2.5. The stream works fine but the PTZ doesn't work with or without the Use another ip/port checkbox ticked(and set to :2020).
You mentioned the PTZ functionality was added but I'm on firmware version 1.3.0 and it still doesn't seem to fully support ONVIF PTZ features. I'm using BlueIris version 5.2 with the settings in the attached screenshots
Also, BlueIris can do an Inspect for the camera and I get:
Opening 192.168.1.204 port 2020...

I just made this post and did a little more tinkering and it seems with BlueIris you need to put the IP in with port 2020, then set the Make/Model, and then hit Find/inspect. Even though my settings look exactly the same as the screenshots I sent, it's working now. So hopefully this helps someone else with BI.
