Hi there,

Do you only have one WA7210 and use it as a hotspot? Please note TL-WA7210 has a directional antenna which only covers 60 degrees in Horizontal direction and 30 degrees in vertical.
If the users move out of the coverage and even they are close to the AP, they would also lose connection.

the connection is lost even within the coverage area, at a short distance, it connects works a few minutes and then disconnects.

You can try different channels and set 20MHz on Channel Width.

Anyway, I would not use TL-WA7210 or any TP-Link Pharos devices which have a directional antenna to work as a hotspot.

I would rather use an external omni-directional antenna to connect with TL-WA7210 to provide a wider range.
Or replace with EAP110-Outdoor (with an omni-directional antenna)

How short is the distance exactly? 1m? 10m? 100m?

Theoretical up to 200m, in practice 100m to 150m if you use 802.11n mode (also depends on client devices, resp. their antennas).
