Hi, I have just connected a new TL-SG1008 gigabit switch to my system with the hope of link aggregating two ports to my Synology NAS. Problem is that I can't get into the web-based management system for the switch (not sure what IP address to use for a start and none of the common ones have worked..or just go to my Netgear modem. Advice appreciated!

The TL-SG1008 is an unmanaged switch. There is no web-based management system in an unmanaged switch nor does it support LAG.

Thanks, I have returned the TL-SG1008 and are waiting for a SG108E which can do this. Thanks for the prompt and helpful response.

You're welcome. Yes, the SG108E can do link aggregation, but only static LAG, not LACP. Maybe, it will work with balance-xor LAG mode of the Synology NAS.
