Any update on whether or not there's a reason for this feature not being available? Every other reputable company seems to have this feature and I'm seriously considering switching my smart device...

I agree. Searching for a solution, I found requests and complaints about this issue going back to 2019. There's no excuse for this option to not exist after 5 years of customers requesting it....
