Model: Kasa HS220
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.0.10

In the last week, I have discovered I can no longer control dimming via the Alexa app on my dimming switches.

They full function in the Kasa app, but in Alexa, I am only able to turn on/off - when I change dimming, I get the "server is unresponsive" message. I did not have these issues when using SmartThings in recent weeks, but I was making changes and was moving some of my automations into Alexa instead.

I have tried the following troubleshooting...

  • Removing the Alexa ~ TP-LINK Kasa Skill connection multiple times
  • Removing and re-adding the switch devices
  • Restarting the devices (via the button on the switches)

Related, I did reset my TP LINK Kasa password recently, but when I do the Alexa skill link, I am never prompted for passwords, it just bounces over the the Kasa app to agree to connect.

Any other ideas of what to troubleshoot here?
