I have the Kasa app working fine but when I try to use the 4x1 widget the app tells me to "Select A Device" "You don't have any devices. Add a device to this widget". The ony option on this screen is "Done". When I select Done the screen just closes. I also have other app 4x1 widgets working from another manufacturer.

I am able to add a Kasa 3x1 widget. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hey  @Keith15335,

Thanks for letting us know, a bit more information would be helpful to our teams.

Do you have enough compatible devices online and connected to fill the widget entirely?

What device(phone) are you seeing this behavior with? Is it possible to check with another Android device?

What version of the Kasa App are you running? What is your Phone's OS version?

  @Widgets,

Check out this FAQ on the Topic: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2294/

"Kasa Device widgets: Tap on Kasa Device (3x1) or Kasa Device (4x1) widget, select a device and this widget will show on the home screen. With Kasa Device (3x1) widget, you can switch on/off Kasa devices. With Kasa Device (4x1) widget, you can adjust color/brightness. For Kasa Device (4x1) widget, only Kasa devices with adjustable color/brightness can be selected."

For now, this means that it is limited to dimmers and not switches. This is due to the design of the widget including a Dimming Bar to control the device. I have passed the feedback along to our team that additional widget flexibility would be appreciated.
