Model: HS103
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I recently purchased 4 smart plugs, I got one setup (took quite a while) this should be easy. I have 28 years in the IT dept.

The other 3 I am unable to get setup, I changed my mesh network to 2.4 and tried every available electrical outlet in the house.

Wi-Fi coverage is not an issue. After inputting my Wi-Fi password, it just times out. My mesh network is able to handle over 3 devices only have 16.

Please help!

Hello   @CTS

This can be due to the combined 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi SSID of Mesh network, you could make 5Ghz Wi-Fi different from 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi temporarily or turn 5Ghz Wi-Fi temporarily.

For more details, refer to Part 4- Step 6 For dual-band or Mesh router,

What should I do if I fail to configure the Kasa device?

You may also turn Mesh Wifi OFF temporarily when setup the smart devices.

Make sure VPN is off during setup and ensure you have input correct 2.4Ghz wifi password

If still the same, may I have a photo of error message on the app, what is the model of your mesh network and network topology? E.g. ISP X--Ap #1<Wireless>AP#2 --Plug
