Hi experts! reaching out in this space to find out whether anyone in setup with TP LINK 5 port hub switch.

I've drawn up a diagram below for better illustration and understanding.

Problem faced:-

  • Master / Main router is working fine with internet access
  • 2nd and 3rd router (AP mode) setup, however unable to get IP and internet access.

Work-around:-

  • Bypass the TP link smart (removed from setup)
  • 2nd and 3rd router (AP mode) connected to Master/main router able to work seamlessly.

I'm puzzled as the TP smart hub/switch is acting the role to expand ports, supposely able to put them on the same "space" to allow all device to talk to each other. This should allow end devices including APs to get IP from Master/Main router. Which was the test scenario in the work-around mentioned above - removing the tp hub from the setup.

Any has any pointers?

@tiger88 connect the Wan interface of the main router to the ONT.

Connect the hub to the Lan interface of the main router.
