HS105 mini plugs - cannot enable remote control

I have been trying for hours to figure this out, but no luck. Can get everything set up except enabling remote control setting so Echo Dot can discover the device (HS105). The remote control option is greyed out on the settings page, so cannot click on it to turn on that option. When I do try to click on it, I get a message that says "Login Required - Please login to your account to control your devices remotely." I am already logged in, but trying to log in again just takes me back to the screen that has "Today's Summary," "Runtime," etc., on it. I have several other mini plugs that I installed months ago with no issues, and these still work fine. I am (pretty sure) that everything has the current updates applied. Please help! Thank you.

Yes, I do see Guest instead of my name. I do know that I can download the latest version from Google Play and in my last post mentioned that I had uninstalled and reinstalled. I do not have multiple phones, guess some do. And I think I mentioned that this was working until recently so nothing I did, or changes of versions here at my end occurred. I went to check and found my devices local only. Not sure which version Android and that should not matter. IMHO this has nothing to do with versions of anything.
I have Insteon and WeMo devices and they work perfectly. Guess that tells me something.

Support has confirmed it is a bug in the Android version.

They told me that the senior engineers are working on it, which would be good, since they are the ones who broke it, and in the meanwhile I should get an iPhone.
