I recently added a TP-LINK HS100 to my home network. Now, I often encounter problems connecting my other devices to the same wifi network. Rebooting the router usually solves the problem, but not for long. I logged into the router today, and found that the HS100 uses too many IP addresses, and that's the reason why my other devices won't connect. I am wondering if anyone else has encountered similar problem. I searched the FAQ and forum and did not find any information useful. Thanks.

How many HS do you have? I think you may try to set you TCP session a little longger, more than 180s may solve.

Devices, connected to a router, including the HS100, should be using one IP address. What do,you mean by "uses many IP addresses" ? Not following.

On my router client list table, the HS shows many entries, each line with the same MAC address but different IPs, eventually fill out all the table.

I've never seen that in any configuration! It should be one MAC to one IP (of course). If it were me, I'd pull them all out, and then delete all the router entries. Now, add them back, one at a time. Check the router table each time.Good luck!

Yeah, it does seem weird. Is it a newer router? Maybe check to see if your router has a firmware upgrade 'cause it sounds like a bug. If your router has a way to reserve IP addresses (look in the DHCP or IP section) you could try assigning a reserved IP for the S's MAC address.

No, the router is a few years old. It had no such problems before. I will do more testing with a different router.

I reconfigured the HS100 to connect to a different but newer router, and it does not seem to have the problem. I believe there may be some comparability issues between the HS100 and the router.
