HS105 Smart Plug Mini Communication Issue

Hi:
I purchased six HS105 Smart Plug Mini devices. I am having a hard time getting them to connect on my home network. I am looking for some guidance from more experienced users. Let me tell you what equipment I have, what I have done, and where I'm running into problems.
Equipment:
1) iPhone 7+ with the most updated iOS
2) Asus RT-AC88U Router with the most updated firmware
3) HS105
Steps:
1) I have two wireless networks a 5GHz and 2.4GHz. I connect my iPhone to the 2.4 network.
2) Plug in the HS105 and make sure the light is flashing between blue and amber.
3) Open the TP-Link Kasa App on my iPhone.
4) Walkthrough the steps for adding the HS105.
5) I can see the HS105, I connect to it, name it, select the icon for it, and then the last step is to connect back to my 2.4GHz network and finish the HS105 setup.
6) I connect back to my 2.4GHz network and it tries to finish the HS105 setup but I never see the HS105 again and I keep getting to try to connect to my 2.4GHz network.
Now I know the HS105 is on my network because I can see it listed as a device in the list of devices that have a DHCP IP in my router.
I am not sure if there needs to be certain firewall rules applied, certain ports opened, or what, but I have heard really great things about the HS105 and I am certain it's something I'm doing wrong and not the device.
Do any of you more experienced users out there have suggestions or insight into what I am possibly doing wrong or what the issue is?
Thanks.
Shawn.

I may have an answer to the problem. Not a solution yet, but what may be the issue. My network is 192.168.1.x. The TP-Link Smart Plug mini has a network address of 192.168.0.100. During the set-up process, the device will flash blue - connecting to network, but then goes to the screen where you're checking that the iPhone is back on the network. The device flashes amber/blue again and if I connect to the TP-Link, it still has the 192.168.0.100 address. As long as the third number is 0 instead of 1, it's not going to connect to my network. It should be able to get it rom the router's DCHP, but apparently doesn't. It's not getting the right network address from the router (Linksys EA9500). Still don't know how to fix it.

do you have mac filtering enabled on the router? make sure choose the correct wifi and input the right password. You can try forget this network on the phone to test the password.

Devices don't make up,their own IP addresses...a router assigns one via DHCP. So, the device is connecting to a router with a 192.168.0.x setup, and that router is assigning the .100 address.

Hi, alright, sorry, been a little under the weather so had to take some time off to rest. I did get it working. It was my router firmware that was causing the issue. I rolled the firmware back to a less recent version and everything started working as it should. So instead of being bleeding edge in my firmware I'll have to suffice with cutting edge. Everything is working as it should and I love it! Thank you for all the suggestions and help. I appreciate it.

@shawnjanes Same result. My Asus mesh routers (AX88u) needed a firmware rollback from an 8/31/21 version to a 7/20/21 version. All back to normal. I am going to open a ticket with ASUS to let them know about this.
