I cannot connect my T-link to my iPhone

When I attempt to connect to my iPhone, the device is not discoverable.....I unplugged, then reinstalled, I tried reset. I had my iPhone right next to the t-link. I took the device upstair and plugged in right next to my router.I did not have the same problem with the first plug. It immediately showed up as discoverable.
