Model: Tapo C120
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.3.1

Over the last week or so all my C120s have updated to FW 1.3.1.  I've noticed that after this update pet detection is no longer working normally.  When coyotes walk by at night they are being tagged as generic motion but before the FW update they were identified accurately as pets about 95% of the time.   After the update not a single coyote has been tagged correctly at night.  During the day it works mostly OK but not at night, and this is with several floodlights providing plenty of lights to the area, so it's not like the cameras are pointing to dark areas, the areas are very well lit.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this?

And what's with all the spam here?  A million threads about changing your name on an plane ticket?  Are the moderators on vacation?

  @SDGTR,

I wish the spam was because we were on vacation - it just comes in throughout the day. Its a recent problem and our teams have been developing a few fixes that should be pushed soon.

I am actually already speaking with our Enginners about the C120 and C121s recent firmware update. We are seeing reports from a few users on our subreddit that the pet detection is having difficulties and that the networked ONVIF streams are also having stability issues. The teams are currently investigating and should have more information soon
