I purchased the camera to monitor our driveway but I had to disable motion sensing because of near constant false notifications at night.

Despite the floodlights being off, there is a swarm of insects around the camera that obscures basically everything; eliminating the purpose of the camera to begin with. To say I'm unhappy about this after spending so much on this system would be an understatement and since I can't return it, here I am trying to find answers.

Different threads exist here that mention insects and fog/mist having the same effect as when I try to use my camera, so what is being done about it? Leaving the floodlights on all night would just attract the bugs again, so beyond turning on the diagnostics mode to try and flag all these false positives, which I've already done, are there any plans to address the issue, or should I just go buy a different company's product?

I know this message is salty but this camera wasn't cheap, and, as mentioned,  I can't return it due to it being opened/installed, so it annoys me that these issues are present.
