Saturday
Model: KP400
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I have TWO kp400. One was setup with the Kasa App and then added to Home Assistant.  I have an automation to control the plug so that a string of lights plugged into the kp400 would turn on and off according to day and night.

Something broke and now Home Assistant cannot run the automation to control the lights plugged into the KP400.

I deleted the kp400 from the kasa app. I reset the plug.  I deleted and reinstalled the Kasa app on my Pixel 9 Pro XL and tried to re-add it to the app.  I can't get past connecting to MY wifi network.

STEPS I TOOK:

Download and install the Kasa App on Android phone (multiple times I've added and removed it).

I click on the ADD DEVICE, SMART PLUGS, KP400.

I plug my KP400 in.

Next (Check the wifi light) they are blinking Green and Orange, so I click on "Orange and Green"

Next the app wants to "connect to device" and it lists my TP-LINK_Smart Plug_XXXX

I click on connect and the app says, "Connected" and then starts spinning.

Next it says "Choose a Network"  HERE IS THE POINT WHERE IT STARTS TO FAIL, various networks are listed, but NOT my home wifi - I can see other networks that are NOT mine.   My wifi is working, I have the right password. The router has the SSID Set to NOT HIDE SSID.

My only option is to select "Join Other Network" and I manually add my network and password.

Then the app says, "Connect to your wifi, Go to your phone's settings and make sure you are on the following network "My network name"  I have two options: Open Settings and I"m already connected.  NO MATTER WHAT I PICK I get an error.

This happens with EITHER KP400 that I use.  I have a version 2 and a version 3.  What am I missing?
