Can someone please explain the best way to setup the following:

cable modem to m4 as router. Then I have some wiring in-wall that I would like to use to connect certain devices. Then 2 other M4's that I cannot connect together with Ethernet. I also have a switch if needed. Thank you advance for your help!!
