The update has already begun rolling out, so make sure your Tapo App is up to date from your app store. Please note that the update is being gradually rolled out, so some accounts or devices may need to wait slightly longer to see it. There were no significant updates to the mobile interface.

The new Tablet Home Page provides quick access to all your devices, allowing you to quickly turn them on or off and check their status. These views have been built for both landscape and portrait views and are designed to fit your tablet’s display automatically.

 

 

📰  Customizable Cards for Quick Access to Device Controls

If a device supports more than a simple on-off command, whether this be the brightness of a switch, the color of a light, or camera controls, you may be able to change the design of its card for quick access to these controls.

1. Use Your Robot Vacuum to Map Your Room and Floors Automatically or Manually Configure your Floorplan
2. Add Furniture to Your Floorplan to Help Identify Which Device May Be Controlled
3. Place Devices and Sensors on Your Floorplan for Easy Control and Visibility

• Visual Indicators for Triggered Sensors, Comfort Zones, and Device Status
• Toggling Lights will Change the Displayed Light Color and Shadows

 

📂 Grouped ‘Systems’ of Devices for Whole-Home Monitoring

• You can now categorize your devices into different systems or types of devices:
• Security, Lighting, Power, Switch, Environment, Others (Smart Plugs, Dimmers, and Switches Can be Added to Any Category)

• Quick Filters: Selecting a System from the Sidebar will automatically filter the devices shown on the main page.
• Turn All On/Off: Added options when filtered allow you to quickly toggle all of your devices across your home or in a particular room.

 

📷 Improved Camera Monitoring

• Full-Screen Layout: Unlock the benefits of a bigger screen to better check the Live View, Playback, and Download pages.
• Multi-Cam Live View: Effortlessly monitor 1, 2,  4, 6, or 9 cameras simultaneously, providing a comprehensive view of your surroundings.

 

🤖 Robot Vacuum Map

• Quick Cleaning: Go to your map by tapping the bottom tab and start cleaning.
• Quickly Check Cleaning Progress: Check the current cleaning progress by tapping the bottom tab.
• Use your Robot Vacuum to Automatically Create the Floorplan Used in Your 3D-View
