Kasa KS240 ceiling fan control and dimmer switch Red light

@Riley_S yesterday I came home from work and found my KS240 had red light, did a factory reset and reconfigured the switch. I have other Kasa switches none had this issue so can't be internet connectiviy issue as other Kasa switches would have the same issue. Just wanted to mention since KS240 is a new device maybe firmware needs to be checked and updated or someother issue.

@Riley_S I have had this issue a number of times. It happens when I lose internet (not wi-fi). When internet is restored, the lights remain red and a reset will not reset or restore normal function and I must replace the entire unit(s). Very frustrating.

@KentRda The issue that I was having is now resolved. The issue I reported numerous times on this forum persisted for nearly a year. At one point I filled out some form TP-Link sent me to identify the my specific KS240 (MAC address?). Presumably so they could collect some diagnostic info. Many months after that I received a message that a new firmware was being released. That firmware came out roughly 6 moths ago. In the end... It was a major PITA when it was getting into this red light/locked up state, which happened about every 3 to 6 weeks for nearly a year, but its never happened again since the firmware update 6 months ago. So I thankfully consider this particular issue closed/resolved.

@nsrdave I agree. I've not had the problem for a few nmonths. It more or less went away for me when they put out a firmware update for the my Deco router, after which I think I had one of three fail. After that failure, I've not had any issues at all. All three I have have not failed in quite a while and that's with regular boots of router and modem.
