New Release Deco Firmware Updates Released to Additional Models - July 2023
Hey Deco Users!
Over the last few weeks, we have seen a large number of models receive the 1.6.0 Firmware and Features, including Static Routes, IoT Networking, and Signal Preferences. Make sure to check for updates often, as more models are receiving the update each week and not all will be listed in these update posts. The models listed below are only the models listed as having received new features - additional updates were made available for stability and performance improvements.
If you have already received the features, continue checking for updates to your network as fixes and patches are being released each week.

*Note: If there are other Deco models in the Mesh network, some features would no longer show up, such as Signal source and Connection Preference; while others only need the support on the main Deco, like VPN, Static Route, MTU, and smart DHCP.
As a reminder, our teams do not have any information regarding what models the firmware is being developed for and when we could potentially see a particular release. Please refrain from asking "When Will 'X' Model Receive the Feature?"

It will defintely be more convenient once we fully establish a more uniform firmware platform, but from the stages we have gone through - I cannot imagine how difficult it is for the team to develop these features for hardware and systems that were not initially designed to support these types of consistent updates and added feature.
It looks like the V2 and V3 both have similar features from the latest updates - ideally you would likely set the v3 as your main node, but you really only need to make sure the V1 is not set as the main node - at least until it receives the updates.
At this point, there are quite a few hardware revisions of the X20, so it is unlikely that you would still receive a v1 as long as it is from one of our official resellers. There is only usually a short transition period between revisions, but this period is actually largely dependent on the inventory that retailers ordered.

@Riley_S I saw you reporting several models but no comment on the Deco S7 would it be a version with a different name depending on the country where it is sold?
