Model: KL420L5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I just got a set of kl420l5 and were going to be putting them on some floating shelves and we want them on the top and bottom. My concerns is wrapping the LED strip around to the bottom and my quesion is this, is is possible to cut the strip in half and parallel the strips so that they go in the same direction. If I wrap them around the shelves and I have the "candy cane" scene on it will to from right to left on the top and left to right on the bottom.

If I cannot then if I get another controller/power supply will they both move at the same time if I program them together? I'm just trying to figure out my options.

Thank You

Randy

Hi Randy,
1. If you cut the strip, the part that does not connect to the controller will become useless, and this product will also not enjoy the warranty service.
2. If you have two controllers/power supplies and two KL420L5 installed, you can set a scene for the two KL420L5 to let them move at the same time.
How to use Scenes function in Kasa app?

Best Regards

Thank you,

Can I buy the controllers seperately? I have not seen them on the website. What happens when one fails?

Hi,
No, the light strip can only work with the original power supply/controller. And if the light strip or the power supply/controller fails, we can provide RMA if your product is under warranty.
