Hello,

I have just purchased four L530E lightbulbs and want to know if they will work under 127v voltage. On the bulb it says 220-240v but I want to be sure they won't work before returning them. Thanks.

  @8x13b,

The L530E is specified in all our documentation as:

Voltage: 120 V~, 60 Hz

and is meant to replace most typical bulbs, 220V connections for lighting systems are quite rare, as this is well above what is needed, especially for LEDs.

You can find more detailed technical specifications regarding our products on the products support page, available here: Tapo L530E

Thanks for the reply. So I can disconsider the writing on the lightbulb saying 220-240v? Forgot to specify, it has EU in parentheses on the model and I bought it in Europe.

  @8x13b,

That is a large difference, as the bulbs are meant to work in the region they are manufactured for. Some of our devices are manufactured to work on both types of power, however, they are still only designed to work with one or the other. EU Power operates on a different frequency than US power does, so it is highly likely that you would see flickering if installed in a US application.

Warranties and Support are also only guaranteed if the device is used in the region it was manufactured for. If you are looking to use these in the US, I would recommend purchasing US-specific models.
