Newly Announced and Released Switches, Dimmers, and a New Ceiling Fan Controller
This category has received the most product recommendations over the last year by far. We are now excited to announce that some of these requests were among the announcements at CES. The devices announced for Kasa by TP-Link at CES 2023 were the:
KS240 – Ceiling Fan Control and Dimmer Switch
KS225 – Wi-Fi Dimmer Switch w/Matter
KS205 – Wi-Fi Light Switch w/Matter
KS220 – Wi-Fi Dimmer Switch w/HomeKit (Available Now)
KS200 – Wi-Fi Light Switch w/HomeKit (Available Now)
We have seen a few posts on the forum already regarding what features are compatible with what devices, so please make sure when browsing and purchasing that you check what services the device is integrated with before making a decision.

@Riley_S Are there any plans to release a ceiling fan only control without the light dimmer? I already have a motion sensing KS200M switch for the light and need a separate switch for just the fan.

Hopefully they have a switch that only controls a variable speed ceiling fan. Light and fan already on separate switches.

Can you provide an update on the KS240? It's been over half a year since the annoucement...

We unfortunately cannot provide any updates about when the device may officially launch. CES Announcements are for products throughout the entire year, leading up to CES 2024; but most often, CES devices are released later in the year as some are still being tested when first announced.

Currently, the KS240 is the only device that I have seen boasting specific ceiling fan support. I will pass the feedback along that a fan-only switch would be appreciated.
I would expect that we may learn more as we near the release, as I would suspect that you may be able to combine the two into the KS240, but we are not sure right now. Also, I wouldn't expect to see any news on such a device for a few months after the KS240 launch, as the developers may want to guarantee that no issues arise before developing/releasing additional models with similar features.

Thanks for the response. It's just that there are already a double opening with a separate switches for a light and fan. If only 1 spot is needed then you have a opening to fill. You can probably cover it with a face plate with the opening for the Kasa Fan/Light control then a blank on the other side, but that would not be attractive.

@Sportsjunkie what I am contemplating doing is geting the combo fan control/light switch and then buying one of those wall switch night lights to fill in the extra hole.
