Setup KASA plug Mini with 2.4G
I want to know how to setup the Kasa Plug Mini 15amp smart plug. The instructions say to use only 2.4G but the router in my home has both 2.4G and 5G. I cannot shut off the 5G to allow only 2.4G to work. How do you do it? I am using an iPhone and can log into my 2.4G connection to my router. Is that what you do?

Hello@308joe
You could set up plug directly in Kasa APP and usually plug was able to filter 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi and connect to it, if that fails. Here is a tip of moving the router or smart device far away from each other, as 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi has longer Wi-Fi range than 2.4Ghz.
Refer to Step6 in part4 here for details

@Solla-topee. I couldn't get my kasa plugs to connect to my 6g router. Kasa needs to upgrade their devices or they will lose many many customers.

Hello @Rick65
If you mean Wifi 6 router, the Wi-Fi 6 /802.11ax is backward is compatible with previous Wi-Fi protocols, so Wifi5 or old devices should be able to connect to it. I replied on your thread here.
If any user have trouble setting up your kasa devices, it is recommended to try some tips as instruction here first
What should I do if I fail to configure the Kasa device?
Or kindly Start a NewThread for it with case details so we could take a further look at it.
