Hello,

 

I bought a 2-pack Deco S4 and was able to set both up initially.

 

After updating the Firmware on the Deco app, the "main" unit went "red" light.  I tried powering it on and off, but now it just lights up with the starting up yellow color and then shuts off (no light is on).  I've tried pressing the reset button, but it does not seem to do anything.

 

I had to reset the 2nd unit in order to set it as the main unit and remade a new network. 

 

Now the unit that has issues powers up and stays with "red" light, and if I plug in an Ethernet cable, it does the same yellow light and the shuts off with no light on.

 

Is this a product defect?

 

How can I get this fixed?

When the Deco turns red, press the reset button for one second to see if it is able to default and revert to setup mode. 

 

We do have a firmware recovery method to see if that may work: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2958
