Hi
Can't seem to update my email address in the app. If the only way to do this is by deleting my account and making a new one will I have to reprogram all my plugs?

There currently is not a way to switch your TP-Link ID email so you will need to create a new account, and set up the plugs with the new ID.

So each plug has to be programmed like new. Including my Alexa, Google, and smarthings settings?

Only Kasa, as the third party services only care about being authorized with the TP-Link ID account. Once Kasa is set up the third-party services will see them. For example, you may notice Alexa state they discovered new devices.

@Tony wtf....that's not only lame but super crap for anyone concerned about their privacy...which considering TPLinks products thats extremely crap.
Better question, how do I permanently delete my old account, I don't like lose ends and from what I can see this would be the only other option.

@Tony oh and get them to fix the forums, cause apparently it posted my reply 3 times.......how are we to trust a company that makes wifi and smart home stuff if you can't even manage a website properly.

@Tony Totally lame and a giant hassle and increases security risk to customers. I guess I will speed up my changeover to all HomeKit but not use any Kasa brand for sure.
The Kasa development team treats customer in a despicable and disrespectful way.
