Disable circle/round white LED on HS200?
I have an HS200 in my bedroom. The circle white LED on the switch when the light is off is very bright in the middle of the night. Is there a way to disable or dim this?

@SandroC it worked for me. Thanks. I had to use the iPad because there's no app for Android for Watt

@Carl Any update on this? I hate this feature. If the switch is on the light in the room is enough of an indication.

The cricle light indicator is only lit when the lights are off. Its kind of a night light and its purpose was to make the switch easier to find in a dark room. While in most cases the lumens are not enough to cause any discomfort we have had customers mention theirs are brighter than it should be. However a feature to disable it has not yet been added. We will send this up again as the more they see it the more likely it will eventually be added.

If you check the disclaimer in the app you will see that Watt is a 3rd part unaffliated app. We cannot say if it will or will not work, or if it will cause any harm to your products. Also use of unaffliated 3rd party programs can void your warranty, so we urge caution when using them. While in most cases it may be harmelss we cannot gaurantee it and there for cannot endorse it.
Also so you know we do not typically allow posts about 3rd party applications to remain on the community as it could be seen as an endorsement. I know your post was not malicious so i will allow it to remian but please know that does not mean that TP-Link is in anyway endorsing the use of this 3rd party application.
Currently the only approved 3rd party application is Samsung's SmartThings.

@Carl Yes, please allow your customers to disable the LED on this switch. Many of us do not want it and it detracts from an otherwise good product.

The intent of the LED indicator was designed to indcate the status of the product and to help find the switch in a dark room. There was never a thought that some customers would find it too bright, I personally have a switch that is direct line of sight to me in my bedroom and barely notice the light unless I am looking right at it. I do understand not all customers are the same, but it may be hard to had such a feature due to it never being in the design plan and that such a request would be very low priortiy. That said we will of course bring it back up to the design team and let them know that some customers are still very intrested in completly disbling the LED light.
