@Joshman08 It's February 2021, any update on the LED off feature.  I have three smart switches in the bedroom.  I'm getting told by my Wife it's not acceptable !!!

This has been a request for years and has been requested by hundreds of people. It's insane that there is a third party hack that can fix this but TP Link does not offer such a simple solution to such a major problem.

I don't know how the developers and engineers of tp-link sleep, but us regular people do not like to sleep with light shining in our eyes.

The feature to turn off the led light is NECESSARY. It is too bright for a bedroom. 

The solution is simple: an upgrade of the firmware and wala! Allow us to do it through the Kasa app

@SandroC Is it possible to turn off the white ring, but not disable the brightness indicator lights for an HS220?

Please implement this as a feature available in the KASA app.  This is so annoying to download the Watt app on ios just to do this basic feature.
