Turn off led indicator on smart switch
Ihavr the hs200 installed in my bedroom. It works great, but has an led ring indicator when the light is off. Is there a way to turn that off? Or switch it so the indicator is only on when the light is on? I'm a light sleeper and black out my room.
Also I'm not looking for hack solutions like electrical tape. At that point I'll just get a different switch that doesn't have an indicator.

As of right now the only switches that support LED control are the HS220 and KS220M. Further expansion of this feature is being considered and should be added to other switches in the future but may be based on specific hardware requirements. Kasa products do get regular updates so it is recommended to check regularly for firmware and app updates.

@Carl Thank you for the reply. Two clarifications/questions...
1) While the HS220 switch supports LED control, I just put in two of them this weekend and the current iOS app does not seem to allow me to turn the LED on/off. Is that update coming to iOS?
2) Many more of the KASA switch hardware does seem to support LED control, as the Watt for smart devices app can control that now. So it seems like an app update, not firmware or hardware, correct?
Thank you for your help in getting this much-needed feature added to the app.

To be honest I don't have any information regarding the Watt app. That is a 3rd party unaffiliated product that we do not have support for. Think of it as using WRT open-source firmware on a router. We can't say how a product will work with said app or even if said app's use will harm a product or not. More than likely it is making use of the API and the use is safe but we do not provide support for it.
For official information I can only provide to you what is given to me. I was told by system engineering that only the HS220 amd tje KS220M have LED control available. This feature is in the product's settngs and listed as LED Control. If it is not there please let me know what Hardware version of the HS220 you have and what the current installed firmware is and iI will have it looked in to.

The ability to control the LED does not show up in the app, as shown here:
