Hey everyone. I have 14+ switches in my house that I’ve installed already. I have a question about adding another in my bathroom. The bathroom has a fan and shower light on a double switch currently. I want to know if it would be okay to connect both loads to one hs200. I don’t want to make it a 4 gang box if I don’t have to.

Primary reason for me is to be able to set a timer for the fan and light to turn the fan and light off 30-45 minutes after a shower.

@Nismos14

The switch would not be able to controld both appliances. You will need to have two seperate smart stiches.

I would want them both on at the same time. Don’t want to control them separately.

As long as the combined current of the two devices are less than the switch ratinig, you should be fine.  Both will go on and off together, and you won't have seperate control.  Find the load wires on your existing "dumb" switches, and wire them together to one of the black wires on the HS200.  Connect the line from the old switches to the other black wire.  (Likely the line will be connected with a pigtale from one of the old swiches to the other--or will come from the same wire nut 'bundle".  Of course, you'll need to connect a white (neutral) wire to the HS200.  Should work fine.  (Note, I'm not an electrician, but am an electrical engineer and reasonably current on residential electrical 'stuff').
