@ZioJim I've read several replies, I'm disappointed to see that TPLINK-KASA has nothing to offer to their loyal customer base of KASA smart switches. I have several around my house, I'd like to have smart switch to control the speed of my ceiling fans. I have several since I'm located in Florida, even with AC running, ceiling fan breeze is welcome. Anyhow, I'm looking at Leviton D24SF-2RW Decora Smart Wi-Fi 2nd Gen Fan Speed Controller for $45. The reviews are excellent for the switch and the phone app. I just wish to use only one app, oh well.

This still doesn't work for me. I need a switch for the fan only. I don't want a combined fan/light switch. I already have a motion sensing KS200M for the light.

  @RojasNet2 I'm like you, I don't need a combo switch (dimmer-fan speeds) my house was wired with separate switches. I just want to control the ffan speeds. Look at the Leviton D24SF-2RW.

I've been using the Treatlife fan switch. However, everything else in my house is Kasa so would like to get standardized to one brand. That way the look is consistent and there is only app to use.

  @RojasNet2 I learned to live with different technologies. Back in the 90s my house was all X10. Then came INSTEON, better than X10, but recenlty Smartlabs dropped the brand and closed with financial difficulties. Last year I started replacing my smart switches with TPLink KASA, I like the simplicity of setting up a new device, the app is so much friendlier than the browser Windows application for Insteon. My house is a mix of Insteon and Kasa, as the Insteon died I replace them with Kasa. I didn't have any smart ceiling fan speed control. I wish there was one available NOW for Kasa. I'm experimenting with Leviton, more expensive, will see...

  @RPaquet I originally went with Belkin Wemo. Worked fine at first but then Alexa integration started to break continuously and Belkin would do nothing to fix it. That is when I decided to break from Belkin Wemo and move over to TP-Link Kasa, primarily because I already had a few Kasa switches (Kasa had 3-way switches before Wemo and I purchased those before Belkin released their 3-way switches).

I am actually happy with the Treatlife switches, but only added two of those switches in places where I had to switch out the ceiling fan. Those fans previously used RF remotes with a unit up in the fan. The rest of the fans in my house stil use the RF remotes and my plan was to switch those out once TP-Link released a solution. Currently I use a Bond device to control those fans but would love to just use Kasa switches. If TP-Link keeps dragging their feet, I may just eventually go with Treatlife switches for all those locations.
