Hi..I was setting up a smart plug for my friend to use with his Echo Dot.
He doesn't have his own smartphone or tablet. Is there a way to set up
without setting up the Kasa app?
No unfortuently there is not. The reason is because the way devices talk to AlexaDevice must is from cloud server to cloud server. Because of this the smart device must be setup on the Kasa App and remote control must be enabled.
