Model: RE315
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.10 Build 220531 Red.63006n

I have an AC1200 OneMesh Wi-Fi Range Extender that I originally set up as an extender for an Ubiquiti AmpliFi Router HD.

In extender mode, the RE315 didn't make a signifcant difference to the area is was intended to improve, and switching to and from -EXT was awkward. I decided to set the RE315 up as an access point. I connected the RE315 to the router via a heavy-duty ethernet cable and set things up to the best of my abilities. Again, there is no significant difference between the access point and simply connecting wirelessly to the router, and we now have three choices for connectivity that we have to choose between: Network, Network-2.4, and Network-5.0. 2.4 and 5.0 are considerably slower than the other. I can't even tell if the plain network listed is simply the router or if it's coming through the new access point.

I'm not well-versed in anything having to do with network connectivity, so any advice will help. When I search out solutions, most unwittingly expect a level of knowledge well above that of a layperson.

Thanks,
