As noted I have 3 XE75  units.  There is no Internet Backup option in my Deco App.  Nothing is listed in my app in either of the places listed below.

• Open your Deco app, and go to More > Advanced >Internet Backup.
• or Go to More > Internet Connection > Internet Backup.

 

Has this options been dropped or do am I forced to buy a hybrid note.  I do not want to pay for a new line that is used maybe 3 or 4 times a year when I am away and need to know what is happening at my home when I lose cable connection.  There is a hotspot option with pay as you use available, but I don't know how to connect.

 

Is there an option or has this feature been dropped.

As far as I have gathered everything depends on the firmware. TP Link don't make this clear - the XE75 pro (sorry not exactly same yours) hasn't been updated and seems to have been abandoned. 
 

There are also issues if you have this hardware XE75 Pro (or not), and add other that does support this internet backup  feature, then it still may or may not work. 'Some' features need all devices updated and I haven't seen a list of the features this applies to. 

ao if you add a deco x50-4g you may get this feature, you may get it if the new device is the main deco, or you may need all devices updated to a certain formware !! 
 

sorry, late and no answer but the best I have got. But of anyone knows the answers to any parts of this it might help.
