Iot devices wont connect to my DECO's 2.4GHz network
Hi Guys,
I'm new to this group and I'm desperate for some help!
I have 4 Deco devices (3-X60s and 1-X20, lets call these devices "A" - Main Deco X60, "B"-X60, "C"-X60 and "D" - the X20). The are all connected thru network cables with a Gigabit Switch in between (for the addition network ports). The Deco's broadcast both 5&2.$GHz bands. I have a number of Smart Devices in the house (bulbs, switches, plugs, Alexa, fans, IR Blasters etc), many of which use the 2.4GHz channel to connect to the Wifi. Up until a month ago, everything was working fine. Now many of the smart devices have stopped connecting to the DECO. I say many as device near Device A and B worked fine.
Thinking my 2.4GHz band was fried on devices C and D, I created a guest network to run only on the 2.4GHz channel. No luck. I then relised that even my phone wouldn't connect to this guest newtork. What was even more surprising was that my phone could connect to the guest network when I was near Decos A and B but not near C and D. So then I physically moved Deco's C or D to replace B (wired) and I was able to connect the the guest network. When Deco B was moved to position C, again the guest network wouldn't connect.
Assuming the issue was singnal interference, I shutoff ALL "smart" and wifi devices in the rooms near decives C and D. I also shut off my digital cordless landling phone. No Luck! I have used the DECO app and tried to Optimise the network channels, No Luck!
I am all out of ideas. Talking to the TP-Link customer care has proved to be futile as they never called me back despite numerous promises. I NEED HELP!
Thanks,
Dhruv
