Another x55 or x60 question...
I have a working Deco x55 set up at my home consisting of 3 devices on three floors - including a basement - all with wired back haul. it has worked very well - so well that I purchased a three pack of Deco x60 for a vacation home. My x55's have firmware: 1.6.1 /B20241010 /R65389 and is the most recent. I have no clue which hardware version I have as there is conflicting info as to how to determine it After the printed S/N on the bottom it shows: US/1.6 if that means anything (the x60 has US/4.6)
I installed some Ring cameras and have an intermittent issue with wifi signals reaching the furthest camera on the front of the garage. I had mentioned this to a friend and he gave me a 3 pack of x60s that he replaced not too long ago. I do not know what version they are but saw that it would likely be better to make the main router the x60 and move the x55 to the garage and connecting it with a wireless back haul somewhere between the nearest Deco and the Ring camera to eliminate the fluctuating wifi signal (I may have access to an abandoned coaxial cable I can use with MoCa adapters - but not sure at the moment).
After thinking about this - it occurred to me that maybe I should remove all of my x55 devices and replace them with the three x60 devices? The signal may be better to the Ring camera in the garage given the better coverage provided by the x60 system. The worst-case scenario is that I'd need to put one of the x55's between the nearest Deco x60 and the Ring camera instead.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
