Deco X55 AX3000 System

VPN: Private Internet Access. 

The entire Deco system is full of bugs, but the most recent problem I've had is as follows. 

Trying to set up my router to work with my VPN service and the connection hangs at "Connecting"

I've set up an OpenVPN connection with a setup file I downloaded from the generator at the PIA website. I chose the following settings when generating the ovpn file:

Open VPN 2.4 or newer - Linux Platform - North America / California Server - UDP/1198 RSA-2048 AES-128-CBC SHA1 - No IP. 

Several times I get the error message that it is unable to save my settings, but after several restarts it finally will. 

Then it hangs at "Connecting" even after rebooting the router and the mobile app. 

What next?
