Model: RE505X
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.6 Build 20240403 Rel. 46494

I have a ISP modem/router.  I have the TPLINK RE505X setup in "Range Extender Mode"  When I connect my laptop to the range extender and then access the admin pages for the ISP cable modem, I see that both the IP address assigned to the RE505X AND the IP address assigned to my laptop both have the same MAC Address (that of the RE505X).  When I connect my laptop directly to the cable modem (router), I see my laptop's MAC addr. correctly. Kindly help. This is a significant problem. Any advice would be helpful - as this device is truly unusable in this state.

After browsing the forum i have understood there are three types - WDS, Universal, and Proxy and I understood RE505X is in universal mode. There is no option in the Range extender to change to WDS or Proxy mode. Therefore, i request your engineers to give an option in the next update.

Same mac address is creating conflicts in my networks. i am having some devices frequent disconnection. Please give us the PROXY mode or WDS mode.

For example: This is how it look like in the ISP router

9a:a2:f4:2b:b4:5b    -> 192.168.0.3
9a:a2:f4:2b:b4:5b -> 192.168.0.8
9a:a2:f4:2b:b4:5b -> 192.168.0.15

  @Ejazmp in the Tether App I suggest you try changing DHCP Settings to Off:

-> More -> Advanced Settings -> DHCP Settings -> Off
