Mixing 3 x60 deco units with X50 5G with the intention for backup 5G Sim
Hi I have a question.
In order for the x50 5G to provide a backup internet via 4g/5g does it have to be the main node.
The reason I'm asking is that making it main node really halves my WiFi performance with my 1gig connnection. Can it run in satelight mode then run the backup connection when the main node's internet goes offline, keep the WiFi SSID the same? NB. Backhaul is not wired.
Thanks
Jason.

The Deco has three methods of 5G backup:
- running the 5G Deco as the main Deco, called "4G/5G Backup Mode".
- running the 5G Deco as a satellite Deco, called "Hybrid Mesh Backup Mode". This mode is not available yet on X60.
- running the 5G Deco as an independent mesh, not integrated with the other Deco, called "Hotspot Backup Mode". This mode is not available yet on X60.

thanks so much for a quick response. Question would wired backhaul help and the x60 nodes get better speed. I would think then only devices connected to the x50 would slow down a bit?
Thanks again.

@Elfstones You do not provide information about your setup, hence it is difficult to suggest anything.

So at the moment I the whole system using wireless backhaul, three x60s and the one x50 5g.
Till I get the actual sim card for the backup connection, I've made the x60 the main node to keep the speed up.
It was just a thought if the all the nodes connected via wired backhaul would the wireless speed increase or not if the x50 was the main node.
Thanks.
Jason.

@Elfstones I expect a wired backhaul will significantly increase the speed for all devices connected to the satellite Decos.
