Hello all,

I realize this issue has been discussed in other threads, but none of the suggestions worked. I am looking for more ideas before I decide to move on from Deco, although I dread rebuilding my network. I just moved, and the decos worked at the previous residence.

Setup:

  • Starlink Gen 3 (bypass mode)
  • 3 Decos (XE75, Deco XE5300 (main), Deco S4)
  • Wireless mesh works perfectly

Problem:

  • The ethernet ports (besides the feed from the Starlink modem) are not working. Ethernet port (besides the feed from the Starlink modem) are not working. I need to connect an unmanaged switch.

Troubleshooting so far:

  • I tried various ethernet cables.
  • I connected to each available port on all three decos with no success.
  • When I connect a Windows laptop, I look at the network status, which says "No Internet" and "invalid IP configuration."
  • I connected directly to the Starlink modem to verify it's not giving out IP addresses (double NAT). It's in bypass mode and didn't provide an IP address to the laptop.
  • I changed the IP addressing range to 192.168.69.50 - 192.168.71.250
  • Changed Primary DNS to 1.1.1.1 and secondary to 8.8.8.8

Current Settings:

  • Operation mode: Wi-Fi Router
  • No static routing
  • IPTV/VLAN Disabled
  • Mac Clone Disabled
  • DDNS Disabled
  • LAN IP: 192.168.68.1 Subnet Mask 255.255.252.0
  • No Address Reservations
  • No Port Forwarding
  • SIP ALG enabled
  • UPNP enabled
  • Firmware up to date
  • Automatic reboot at 3 am
  • System time matches the phone
  • QoS disabled
  • IoT network disabled

I'm about to give up and go back to Google Wifi.

Any troubleshooting tips are greatly appreciated!

  @StaticActs

What do you mean by "I need to connect an unmanaged switch."?

If I understand, wireless clients receive an IP address from the Deco, but wired clients do not.

What does the wired Windows laptop show as response to "ipconfig /all"?

How are your Deco interconnected?  I suggest testing with a single Deco, powering off the two other Decos.
