Model: Deco BE63
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have FIOS service and I'm trying to replace my existing router (Synology RT2600ac) with the BE63.
Current connection is fiber > Fios I-211M-L ONT > RT2600ac.
The cable from the ONT connects into the RT2600ac WAN port.
I disconnected the cable from the RT2600ac and plugged it into the BE63's bottom LAN port (there is no WAN port).
Tried running through the BE63 setup, and it can't detect the internet.
It wants to know what kind of internet connection is provided by the ISP (e.g. Dynamic IP, Static IP, and a bunch of other selections).
I tried Dynamic. An educated guess on my part, because FIOS doesn't provide that information on the Internet.
Has anyone successfully connected a BE63 (or similar unit) to the FIOS ONT with success?
If so, how did you do it?

OK. For anyone the sees this post, here is how it was resolved.

I called TP-Link support (866-225-8139) and they stepped my through this:

From the app home page > More > Internet Connection.

Verified that:

Internet Connection Type: Dynamic IP

IP address was assigned (100.xxx.xxx.xxx)

They had me change the DNS addresses to:

8.8.8.8

8.8.4.4

I know that I know enough to be dangerous, but for the life of me, I have no idea why this worked. But it did.
