Deco loses the internet once 2nd switch is connected

Model: Deco X5000

Hardware Version: V16

Firmware Version: 1.2.9 Build 20240722 Rel.43212

I bought X5000 and have used with this setup and no issue so far, it suddenly happened yesterday. Originally internet connection was dropped due to the modem failure but this new issue happened after replacing to new modem.

Here is my configuration.

Modem -> Deco main -> 5port switch(NetGear) -> wall -> 5port switch(D-Link) in control box -> wired to other 2 Deco devices

Deco main becomes RED with this setup (again it was no problem until yesterday), when I disconnect the 2nd 5port switch (D-Link) then it works fine.

Is anybody having a similar issue? If I replace the 2nd switch to TP-Link, it can be fixed?

@doomoo I had the same issues. Am using Deco S4s. Was actually at my PC when connection led went red. Couldn't work it out as my broad band router was still functioning. Couldn't believe it was the switch that had failed in front on me after about 12 years of operation. Was a TP-link basic desktop switch. But replaced the switch with a new one and all fine. The switch gave no indication it had broke. But could reliably replicate the issue by adding it back in. No issues since replacing it.
