Hello

 I have 1 story ranch house 1800sq ft most of the house is plaster and lath with aluminum siding

On average I have 110 to 120 IoT devices don’t really know because they keep dropping and adding when ever they want?  

if I go into my app at this very moment it has me with 103 online clinets and 10 offline 20 min ago now I had 101 and 7 offline

36 smart devices and 43 kasa devices to add however when I click the + button to add them it keeps scanning and it errors out

 (Side rant  after the update on Monday 60% labels just wiped out that info so I now have the generic EP10 HS200 …or even better iot_device that I need to track down and figure out ) via the mac address

and it is saying my airthing-view is hooked up to the wired network that is a wifi only device

 

Ecobee home thermostat

LG Washer /dryer/dishwasher and refrigerator  

52 some kasa smart plugs/power strips, 14 light switches and 8 cameras

20 hue light bulbs

5 wyze camera

2 nest smoke detectors

8 alexa

2 b-hyve wifi hub for sprinklers

as well as 8-10 other things like the catbox or room hepa filters

all on the IoT network

and then I add 3phones 2tablets on the main network

as well as 3 roku and 2 tv on the wired network as well as a a sonos and philips hue hub and a smart thing hub

 

All of my mesh satellites are on cat5e wired back haul except the deco x50   2 BE95 3XE5300 1 X50

I have experienced similar issues with devices dropping offline, as well as challenges related to device renaming following firmware updates. 

 

I currently have an open ticket regarding this matter. I recommend that you also submit a ticket by following the instructions provided below.

 

Once you have your TKID number, please share it with me, and I will forward it to the engineers I have been in communication with over the past month regarding these issues.

 

1. Email support at support.usa@tp-link.com.
2. Include the model number of your Deco router, as well as the hardware and firmware versions.
3. Describe the issues you are facing and send the email.
4. Within a few minutes, you will receive an automated response with a TKID number.
5. Upon receiving this email, please access the Deco web UI by entering "tplinkdeco.net" in your browser. Navigate to Advanced > System > System Log, select "ALL" in the log type, and save the file to your local computer. Then, reply to the email you just received, attach the log file, and kindly request that your ticket be escalated to a senior engineer for further assistance.

So I really am not crazy.  The August Firmware update 1.0.21 Build 20240726 Rel. 25771 was installed on my BE95 3 piece set at time of initial setup.  Now, that Firmware update has been removed from the TP-Link site.  An agent I chatted with pretty much thought I was crazy, so it's nice to know I'm not.  After original installation, I didn't have much to complain about with the BE95, but for the past 7-10 days, I've had all sorts of 2.4 GHz IoT devices (and Guest Network devices) disconnect, drop and a few even refuse to reconnect, no matter how I try.  Some of these are security cameras that need to be connected 24/7, but are dropping, while others stay connected.  Others are Airmega air purifiers that refuse to reconnect at all, even when starting over from scratch.  I can set them manually, but still, they worked fine when the BE95 was originally setup, now they won't connect at all.  These disconnects/drops seem to be getting worse with each day.  I still have another few days of return policy left and it may be that I will take advantage of it and go back to my old Asus ET12 system that worked fine.  I've tried the Asus BQ16 Pro and they were a disaster.  Maybe WiFi 7 isn't ready for prime time, even though the BE95 has been out many months longer than the BQ16 Pro.  One thing I may do in the future: Leave auto firmware update off, until the release has been out for a couple of months.

 

Obviously, if TP-Link has removed a firmware update from their site, there is a problem with it.

this has been going on for almost 4 years for me I blame COVID..... I was home unattended and started adding smart devices .....after 40 IoT devices I started to have problems and it snow balled from there ...new extenders add more IoT and then a new mesh system that fixed things for a bit and then you add more IoT devices ......and at 80-90 IoT devices you say this system suck and move to a different mesh system and you get everything ironed out and your wife gets a new robot vacuum or wifi cat box and 145 IoT devices later they release a new update and the fix is to do auto reboots ......that seams like a lame fix 5-10 years ago my home network would go a year or more before needing a reboot

Would you please provide me with these so that we can provide a better network suggestion for you, it seems that most of your IoT devices were having trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi network? 

1. How large is your house? Do you really need all of the Deco units to cover the whole house? Adding more Deco units into a single Deco network might not help when wireless coverage is already enough, it will only bring more interferences. In your case, we might have to lower the number of Deco units in your Deco network to avoid 2.4GHz congestion. 

2.  Please provide me with a house layout map including all Deco units' position, you may use the Deco unit's mac address to mark them so that I can distinguish.

  @jasonINmadison I've noticed this myself with IOT devices and even my Ring doorbell. Both still functioning fine, but the Deco app is randomly showing it on or off.
